Comments 0 | Recommend 0

EDWARDSVILLE - Tigers senior Moneshia Davis became the third member of the Edwardsville girls basketball team to sign a Division I letter-of-intent last week when she accepted a scholarship to Morgan State in Baltimore, Md.

The 5-foot-10 Davis joins Anya Covington (Wisconsin) and Eryn Stepherson (SIUC) as D-I recruits from the 31-3 Tigers in 2008. Davis averaged 8.5 points and led the Tigers in steals last season.

At Morgan State, she joins a Lady Bears program coming off a 20-11 season that included an 11-5 record in the Mid-Eastern Atlantic Conference.
